As it's getting closer to December and closer to finals, along with other things I've still been quite stressed. When I get really stressed that's when I either go and exercise to clear my head, nap or try and find as many positive/awwwwwww inducing things I can. Usually that's lots of Youtube videos about Scottish fold kittens, what can I say, I think they are positively adorable and when I get a big enough place, will get one. Since I paid my registration fee, Classes for my next semester at AAU have been picked: Perspective, Digital Media 2 (digital painting) and Comic Book Penciling but that won't be till February. Still I'm extremely excited over it.

A few days ago I was invited to come to the grand opening of the Angelic Pretty Store in San Francisco which is happening on the 20th. It's such a massive event especially because the designers will be there. Even though Baby the Stars Shine Bright & Alice and the Pirates is my favorite brand, My friends insist that going to the event would be a nice getaway for the day to dress up, meet up with other friends, look at/buy* adorable stuff and have a nice tea party afterward would be a positive change of pace. Plus since I missed the opening for BtSSB I shouldn't miss this one. It's still a little up in the air but it would be nice and a great photo shoot opportunity.

* I probably won't be buying anything because it'll be beyond my price range and if I do it will probably be something small like an accessory. I did the same thing when I finally went to the Baby building, though I did eventually get two pieces.

Now that the nasty bit is all done

Mood: Irritated
Sounds: Law & Order SVU

Ok so I got everything off my chest in the last post, now for more interesting stuff.
Sadly as much as I looked forward to it this year, I pretty much missed out on Halloween.
I had caught the flu a little bit before Halloween and hoped that it would be out of my system so I could carve my pumpkins, buy some candy, dress up and who knows even get a Halloween themed image done. Sadly none happened.

Conviently enough right now there's a bowl of Halloween candy in front of me as I continue my post Halloween adventures, finds and other such joys

It's been too long

It's been a while I know and I apologize.
Ever since I had left for Australia, a LOT of things changed and not all for the better.
It got to the point where I was pretty much dead set on not returning to California, however I had Fall semester at the Academy that I was already committed to so in the end I had to come back.

As much as I would love to delve into all the issues about my domestic/living situation, I cannot. It would take up too much time because there's so much to explain before even going into the current problem. Needless to say it has taxed me to a point that I don't feel comfortable in my own thoughts, let alone my own home. The people who need to know, know about it and have known all about it for a while. Sadly I will have to deal with this issue until such time as the problem is dealt with, which sadly leaves me with little hope of ever being dealt with, or, job willing, I leave.

I know that there are numerous repercussions that could result from it but, to be frank, I'd take them any day over this situation I had nothing to do with, didn't contribute to, and despite my protests, have no control or say over.

Some people close to me have noticed that it's harder to get into contact with me when they try to call me. Unfortunately it's because I had to turn off my phone, hopefully it won't be long till I can get a new one and fix that line of communication. There was also a unexpected expense in regards to my school which also complicated matters, it's currently being dealt with threw a payment plan. Still I had wished it had never come up but you can't control life.

I'm still looking for part time work this holiday season for a few other reasons aside from what I had previously mentioned. So I keep hoping that something will come up and someone will give me a chance. Aside from that I've been very busy with class work and my lap swimming.

I'm currently getting over a bad flu I caught about a week prior to Halloween which really ruined my weekend for me. Since I missed one of my favorite holidays, my current theme will stay till Dios de los Muertos, for those who don't know what that is, it is the Day of the Dead.

Not everything is doom and gloom though, I still have my wonderful and supportive boyfriend Jamie, who's finally gotten a great job and we're both looking towards the future with wonderful possibilities and hope.
I'm continuing to improve via school work from the Academy, which still gives me pride.
I got a tiny job as a private tutor for History and English, it probably won't be paying me as much as I would like but something is far better than nothing.

Anyway I'll be posting some more interesting things after this post, so please be patient with me and look forward to those posts

I apologize for not updating sooner, so much stuff has been happening all around me it's causing my head to spin a little bit.

So rather than bore everyone with little bits of happenings I'll post about the most recent big event that happened. Christmas in August!
DSC05088.jpg
Apparently in Australia they do have a Christmas in July, Jamie's family held off on the festivities till I arrived.
DSC05084.jpg
Since they chose to do it on saturday we mainly celebrated Jamie and his mother's joint birthday, ate a little, played Secret Santa and ate more.
DSC05089.jpg
I was asked to make my own turkey and stuffing which came out quite handsomely despite not having everything I'm used to having at my disposal.
In the end we ate quite a few courses including a double dessert course
DSC05090.jpg
Though Passionfruit has to be one of the fruits I hate most this mousse cake was delicious
Unfortunatly thats all I can post at the moment in between coughing fits, I'll post more in a day or so.

Black, Tan and White all at the same time

Mood: Content
Sounds: Wicked Attraction (show)

Charcoal and Sanding make for some interesting colors when you're very tan.
I've been really busy the past couple of weeks and now it's finally finals for me.

I've got to message my new adviser on which classes I'm defiantly going to be taking, most likely Media II (more Photoshop) and Web Design (make my own website and such).
Jamie tried to help me recently get a job doing illustrations for a children's book in Australia but they didn't want to deal with someone outside of the country and doesn't have their degree yet. Oh well, keep on trying and looking right?

Also I FINALLY got off my butt and got my student ID which I now wear with pride. I think it's one of my biggest achievements. It was also just a lot of fun going to SF again just because. Though my little brother pointed out I should have while in the building went and purchased my school sweater since I was there...oh well at least they have an online site for it

I know my broken paragraphs and random order of photos might be a little off putting but since there's so much to post I felt this was the only way I could without it being a wall of text followed by a wall of photos.
Well I got to head off and finish sanding my dresser so that maybe I can have it all nice and ready to be stained and maybe in my room before I leave for my vacation.
